Uninstall Linux application installed from tar ball or source

Usually Linux applications installed from tar ball source contains uninstall programs. This is not applicable for all the applications coming as tar ball. If it is, it will be available on the source folder where it was extracted or compiled.

To uninstall the desired program, issue the below command.

        $ make uninstall
